“Clue” to Take Stage at Mineral Area College
If you’re over the age of 35, chances are good you’ve probably played the board game. If you have a smart phone, you can even download the app. Now you can watch “Clue” fleshed out on the main stage of Mineral Area College this summer.
Mineral Area College’s performances of the funny murder-mystery “Clue” will be 7 p.m., July 10-13, in the MAC Fine Arts Theatre on the main campus in Park Hills. Tickets are $3 for MAC students and senior citizens, and $7 for the general public, on sale at the MAC Bookstore. The show is rated PG.
The cocktail party turned multiple homicide has been adapted to a play featuring six suspicious characters, six deadly weapons, nine sinister rooms and one killer. Set on a dark and stormy evening in late 1954, Wadsworth the butler, and Yvette the maid, welcome six guests (Col. Mustard, Mrs. White, Ms. Scarlet, Prof. Plum, Mr. Green and Mrs. Peacock) to a swanky mansion for a mysterious cocktail party. They have all been gathered to confront their blackmailer, the enigmatic Mr. Body. A shot in the dark and Mr. Body's body leave them all with a new problem; they must discover which one of them is the killer before the police arrive! So now, to protect their reputations and prevent the body count from rising, they must work together to find the answer to those three burning questions: Who did it, where and with what?
